BPMS Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Baker Prairie uses the CharacterStrong (CS) Advisory Curriculum to provide all of our students SEL curriculum. Weekly lessons occur in Advisory, as well as different components of CS being used in different ways throughout the rest of the school day.
CharacterStrong (CS) focuses on fostering the Whole Child with vertically-aligned lessons that teach SEL and character, side-by-side.
- SEL Competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, Responsible Decision-Making
- Character Development: Patience, Kindness, Honesty, Respect, Selflessness, Forgiveness, Commitment, Humility
